Visclosky Releases Statement on House Vote to Repeal the Affordable Care Act
Congressman Visclosky released the following statement in response to today's vote on HR 6079, To repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act and health care-related provisions in the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act 2010:
“I regret the House Majority has again voted to take away benefits that are improving the quality of life for the people living in Indiana’s First Congressional District. Today, due to the passage of the Affordable Care Act, children can no longer be discriminated against by insurance companies, millions of seniors can afford prescription medication as the Medicare Part D ‘Donut Hole’ closes, and children can remain on their parents’ plans until age 26. Our time would be better spent ensuring the law is efficiently and effectively implemented.”
