Merrillville, IN-Today, Congressman Pete Visclosky announced that the Lake Hills Volunteer Fire Department received $145,334 through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security-Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program. 

The federal funding will allow the volunteer  fire department to enhance its services by improving its operations and ensuring firefighters’ safety.
